Sydney, Australia– Singer Jimmy Buffet was injured when he tumbled from a stage during a concert in Sydney, Australia. The “Margaritaville” singer was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 and is in stable condition, as reported by OK! Magazine.

Buffet, 64, fell into a large gap in the front of the stage at Hordern Pavilion after finishing “It’s been a lovely cruise, I’m sorry It’s ended.”

Flashing concert lights might have contributed to Buffet’s fall, TMZ reported.

Buffet was unconscious for about 5-10 minutes following the tumble. He also suffered a huge gash on his head, according to a witness.

Another concertgoer reported that Buffet was “walking along the edge of the stage when a ‘huge flash of light’ made it difficult for him to see and caused him to fall.”

Buffet was rushed to a hospital where he is staying for observation.
