Kent, WA—A three-vehicle collision on state Route 516 left two people dead and three others seriously injured December 5, 2010. The fatal automobile accident occurred around 3:15 a.m., in the westbound lanes just west of Meeker Street in Kent, as reported by The News Tribune.

The State Patrol reported a female driver of a Chevrolet Malibu lost control of her car, and started traveling east in the westbound lanes, where it collided with a Honda Civic. A Honda Passport headed in the same direction also collided with the Malibu.

Officials believed that alcohol and possibly drugs were involved in the crash.

The driver of the Malibu, Amanda Berman, 24, of Yakima, and the driver of the Passport, Jose Cuellar, 57, of Kent were killed in the collision.

A passenger in the Malibu, a 28-year-old Fife man was seriously injured.

The driver of the Civic, a Renton man, was critically injured. He is being investigated on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Investigations are underway.
