Rochester, NY—A farm accident in Orleans County left a 48-year-old man dead after becoming pinned underneath his tractor. The man was killed around 5 p.m., while clearing farm land on his property at 12728 Stillwater Road, Carlton, as reported by the Democrat and Chronicle.

John F. Clark was reportedly clearing his land when he fell off his tractor for unknown reasons. Clark was apparently hauling a brush hog mower, when he somehow became trapped underneath the tractor.

Orleans County Sheriff officials say Clark was pinned under the right tire of the tractor.

Responding emergency crews pronounced Clark dead at the scene. His body was transported to Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Police say the accident does not appear to be suspicious. Officers are investigating whether Clark had a medical condition, which led to his fatal fall from the tractor.
