San Francisco Bay, CA—A head-on collision between a motorcyclist and a car, left one person dead on the night of Wednesday Oct. 20 The fatal collision occurred in Walnut Creek at around 11:20 p.m., on South Broadway near Rudgear Road, as reported by the San Francisco Chronicle.
A motorcyclist was reportedly traveling southbound on South Broadway, when the biker crashed head-on into a northbound Nissan sedan. The motorcyclist was killed in the collision.
The identity of the victim is currently being withheld by police officials until the next of kin has been notified.
The two occupants of the Nissan sustained minor injuries. It was not reported if they were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries or if they received treatment at the scene.
Police officials are still trying to determine what caused the motorcyclist to cross into the oncoming lanes of traffic.
