Laurens County, SC—One person was killed and five others, including three children, were injured in a violent motor vehicle accident Thursday, October 14, 2010. The fatal wreck occurred on Interstate 385 at mile marker 22, according to information provided by WYFF4.com.

Reports indicated a Toyota and Chevrolet sport utility vehicle were traveling along the northbound lanes of I-385 when they seemingly clipped one another. On impact, the SUV swerved out of control and flipped into the southbound lanes.

Noelle Collins, 41, was at the wheel of the SUV when it became involved in the horrific rollover accident. Collins was flown to an area hospital via medical helicopter. The extent of her injuries was not specified.

A passenger in the Collins’ Chevrolet, 68-year-old Mary Keffer, suffered fatal injuries in the SUV rollover accident.

Two other passengers, identified as 10-year-old Zoey Larson and 5-year-old Mia Larson, were also airlifted to area hospitals for treatment. Mia Larson was apparently ejected from the SUV.

Alyssa Larson, 35, and Max Larson, 8, were also riding in the SUV when it overturned just after 5 p.m. They were rushed to area hospitals by ambulance.

Georgina Wilson, 20, was driving the Toyota involved in the crash. She did not sustain any injuries.

A full probe into the deadly Laurens County rollover wreck was expected to be underway.
