Fort Myers, FL (Fort Myers Automobile Accident Lawyer News)—A deadly crash involving two vehicles left two people dead and sent six others to hospital on Saturday, October 2, 2010. The fatal crash occurred on northbound U.S. 41, at the intersection of Avendia Del Vera in North Fort Myers, reports The News-Press.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported, a van driven by 52-year-old Terry Savasuk, of Fort Ogden, was hit by an SUV in the intersection, as the SUV was attempting to cross into the southbound lanes of U.S. 41 from the Heron’s Glen Community entrance.

The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to overturn in the roadway.

Two passengers inside the van, identified as Evelyn Lindge, 74, and Robert Lindge, 76, both of Fort Ogden, were rushed to Lee Memorial Hospital where they were pronounced dead. Neither victim was wearing their seatbelts.

Savasuk and four other passengers in the van were injured in the crash. The passenger’s identities have not been released.

The driver of the SUV, Doris Shultz, 81, of North Fort Myers, and her passenger, Joseph Shultz, 84, suffered serious injuries in the wreck. They were also wearing their seatbelts.

A full investigation into the crash is underway. Charges are pending.
