Great Falls, MT— One person was rushed to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision, involving two semi-trucks on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. The collision occurred at around 9 a.m., on River Drive and 15th Street North, as reported by the Great Falls Tribune.

According to preliminary accident investigations, a westbound semi-truck was traveling on River Drive, when it attempted to make a left-hand turn directly into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer, which was headed east on River Drive. The two big-rigs collided in the intersection.

One driver was rushed by responding emergency medical crews to Benefis East via ambulance for treatment. The extent of the driver’s injuries are not known. It is also unknown if the other truck driver was injured in the wreck.

Both semi-trucks reportedly sustained heavy front-end damage.

The two tractor-trailers were reportedly carrying loads in USF Reddaway an Watkins Shepard containers.

The identities of the drivers are currently being withheld. A full investigation is underway.
