Minneapolis, MN—A school bus crash in Egan injured one motorist on Monday, September 13, 2010. The accident occurred around 7:40 a.m., on Pilot Knob Road, near Deerwood Drive, as reported by TwinCities.com.

According to police officials, two school buses were traveling southbound on Pilot road, when one of the buses seemingly veered into the northbound lane where it collided with a minivan.

One of the buses was carrying three children; the other was empty. The bus drivers and the students remained uninjured in the wreck. The female driver of the minivan reportedly sustained “minor injuries.” It didn’t appear that she was going to be transported to an area hospital for treatment.

She was being treated at the scene by responding emergency crews.

Eagan police Lt. Steve Bolluyt said, “It sounds like the bus went into the car’s lane,” but the exact cause of the crash is still unknown.

A full investigation into the school bus crash is currently underway.
