Fremont, OH—A motorcyclist was hit and killed by a pickup truck after being ejected from his bike resultant of a prior crash Thursday night, July 29, 2010. The fatal accident, which also left a woman with serious injuries, occurred along Country Road 128, north of Fremont, Ohio, according to information provided by WUPW.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) reported Brian and Carrie Everett, both 42 years of age, were occupying a Harley Davidson motorcycle around 11 p.m. Thursday when something went wrong.

As Brian Everett traveled northbound on County Road 128, in close proximity to Township Road 97, he lost control and wrecked his motorcycle. The Everetts were ejected on impact.

Brian Everett, who was lying on the pavement after the motorcycle crash, was struck by a pickup truck after the initial accident. He succumbed to his traumatic injuries at the scene.

Carrie Everett was airlifted to Toledo Hospital via medical helicopter. She allegedly suffered “serious physical injuries.” Neither Brian nor Carrie wore their helmets at the time, according to reports.

Though the driver of the pickup was identified as Theodore Wise Jr., it was not stated whether he sustained any injuries as a result of the traffic accident.

Alcohol was a suspected factor in the motorcycle crash. While no charges have been filed as of yet, OSHP officials are expected to continue their probe into the deadly Fremont accident.
