Oregon Automobile Crash: 2-car crash injured 5 on Highway 211

Clackamas County, OR—A two-vehicle crash just west of Molalla injured five people on Friday, July 9, 2010. The injurious crash occurred around noon at Highway 211 and Kropf Road, as reported by the Statesman Journal.

The Oregon State Police reported a 2006 Nissan Murano was traveling eastbound on Highway 211 and tried to make a left turn onto SE Kropf Road. Upon doing so, the Nissan collided with a westbound 2008 Chevrolet Malibu.

The driver of the Nissan, Jonaton Rios, 18, of Woodburn, and a passenger Edgar Jesus Rojas, 18, of Gervais, were rushed to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Anthony Michael Foix, 64 of Oregon City suffered serious injuries in the wreck. Foix was airlifted to Legacy Emanuel Hospital for treatment. Two other passengers were rushed to OHSU for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The passengers were identified as Darren Roy Foix, 16, and Mary Elizabeth Foix, 63, both from Oregon City.

Police officials are currently trying to determine if anyone was wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.

At this time no one has been reportedly cited for the wreck.
