Lock Haven, PA—Three people were killed when a plane chartered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) went down west of the runway at William T. Piper Memorial Airport. The deadly aviation accident occurred on Monday, June 21, 2010, as reported by MSNBC.

According to Jim Peters of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a Cessna 210 aircraft was involved in a fatal wreck as it neared the Lock Haven airport around 1 p.m. The airplane reportedly hit a utility pole before crashing into a home and three vehicles.

While there were no injuries reported on the ground, three people aboard the plane suffered fatal injuries. It was unknown if there were more than three people occupying the single-engine aircraft when it crashed.

The plane was reportedly under ownership by Aurora, Colorado-based Wings and Wheels 2LLC and chartered by the USDA at the time. Information concerning the planes initial departure location and scheduled final destination were not immediately known.

The identities of the victims tragically killed in the Pennsylvania plane crash were not released. Also, calls to the plane’s owner, Lock Haven fire administrator and Clinton County coroner were not returned.
