Taylor, MI—A toddler is in critical condition after he was thrown from his mother’s moving vehicle and was consequently run over. The injurious accident occurred Wednesday, June 16, 2010, according to information provided by Click On Detroit.

Reports indicated a minivan, occupied by a mother and three young children, was driving through a Burlington Coat Factory parking lot when the incident occurred. The scene was located along Eureka Road in Taylor, Michigan.

Cpl. Michael Caldwell of the Taylor Police Department stated, “The information that we received was there was a small child in the back of the vehicle and the vehicle went around the corner and the door was either open prior to, or slid open as the car was going around the corner. And in the middle of the vehicle going around the corner, the child was propelled out of the vehicle.”
