San Francisco, CA—A criminal grand jury indicted both the owner and foreman of a roofing company after they were found to be negligent in connection with the death of an employee in 2008. The owner and foreman were arraigned on charges of felony involuntary manslaughter and felony violation of the labor code with regard to the tragic on-the-job accident, in which a worker fell from the roof of a San Francisco apartment building, as announced by San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris on Monday, April 26, 2010. Reports stated Antonio Martinez, employed as a roofer by California C&R Inc., was working along the edge of a four-story apartment complex in San Francisco, California when he fell 38 feet to his death.
