California bus accident attorneys alert- Two SF Muni buses were involved in a collision with a pedestrian in downtown San Francisco.

San Francisco, CA—A man is hospitalized after he became pinned by two San Francisco Municipal Railway (SF Muni) buses and then was run over by one of them. The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, on Mission Street in downtown San Francisco, as reported by InsideBayArea.com.

According to police officials, a male pedestrian was in a Mission Street traffic lane when he somehow became pinned between two Mission Street buses. The man was then run over by one of the buses. When emergency crews arrived at the scene they found the man underneath the bus. Rescue teams had to crawl under the bus to reach the pedestrian while crews lifted the bus so that they could pull him out. The unidentified victim was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. It was not reported exactly what type of injuries he sustained or his condition.

Police officials are currently conducting a full investigation into the incident and how it occurred. No other injuries were reported. At this time no one has been cited or arrested in connection with the accident.

As of 12:30 p.m., Mission Street between Beale and Main streets were still blocked, and officials did not know what they were going to be able to reopen the road.
