Automobile accident lawyers alert- A wrong direction driver on Interstate 90 caused a crash that killed two elderly women.

Johnson County, WY—A head-on crash on Interstate 90 killed two elderly women, who were both drivers of the vehicles involved in the crash, on Monday afternoon, March 8, 2010. The double fatality collision occurred on I-90 near Buffalo around 12:22 p.m., as reported by Local News 8.

Wanda W. Basham, 86, of Sheridan, who was driving a 1990 Honda Accord, apparently got on the wrong I-90 ramp, which caused her to drive in the wrong direction. Basham was headed westbound in the eastbound lanes, when she slammed head-on into Donna A. Smith, 72, of Gillette, who was driving a 2009 Toyota Camry. Neither one of the drivers reportedly tried to avoid one another before colliding. The violent head-on crash killed both Basham and Smith. Both drivers were reportedly wearing their seatbelts at the time. Bashman was allegedly rushed to an area hospital by responding emergency teams where she died about three hours after arriving for treatment. It is unknown if Smith was also taken to a hospital before she succumbed to her fatal injuries. Police officials are currently investigating the fatal crash. Weather did not appear to be a factor in the wreck. It is still being determined why Basham entered the highway on the wrong ramp.
