Utah automobile accident lawyers alert- A winter weather-related head-on collision injured five people.

Salt Lake City, UT—A snowy Thursday morning, February 11, 2010 head-on collision injured five people in West Valley City. The motor vehicle collision (MVC) occurred at 7:00 a.m., at 5400 South and State Road 111, as reported by the Salt Lake Tribune.

West Valley City police reported that a total of three vehicles were involved in the collision. Three men were reportedly traveling in a pickup truck when it attempted to make a left turn and crashed into an oncoming car, which then was hit from behind by another vehicle. Due to the severity of the winter weather, low visibility prevented a medical helicopter from landing at the scene to transport the injured victims. Instead, the victims were rushed by ground ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center for treatment for their injures. The victims, three males and a female, are all reported to be in serious to critical condition. The men were reportedly traveling in the pickup truck, while the woman was driving the car that the men hit. The fifth victim, who was in the second car that rear-ended the first, was treated at the scene for minor injuries by responding medical crews, and then released. The cause of multiple vehicle crash is currently under investigation, but police officials believe the weather was a contributing factor. At this time no citations have been issued.
