Texas wrongful death lawyers alert- A lawsuit was filed against Toyota for gross negligence after a crash involving a 2009 Toyota Corolla.

Houston, TX—The husband of a woman who was killed when her Toyota Corolla suddenly accelerated and crashed in December 2009 has filed a wrongful death lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed against Toyota, the gas pedal’s manufacturer, and the Toyota dealership where he leased her car at the Harris County Civil Court on Monday, February 1, 2010, as reported by KTRK.

Trina Harris was killed in a violent car crash after her 2009 Toyota Corolla drove through a stop sign, and slammed into a concrete wall. She was killed on impact. Little did she know that he car would soon be included in Toyota’s massive recall to fix the accelerator problem. Trina’s husband, Michael Harris, filed the lawsuit. The suit accuses Toyota of gross negligence, and cites “The 2009 Toyota Corolla contains a defect in its accelerator pedal and that defect existed at the time the product left the manufacturer’s hands.” The plaintiff’s attorneys are planning on hiring a team of experts to conduct an investigation into the wreckage to determine if a malfunction did take place. Their insurance company also planned to conduct an investigation of its own.

Trina left behind a loving husband and two beautiful daughters.
