Kentucky SUV accident attorneys- A Mazda SUV crashed because the driver was distracted by another crash in Boone County.

Burlington, KY—Distracted driving played a role in ending the lives of two people on Interstate 275. The fatal single-vehicle crash happened on Sunday morning, October 18, 2009 around 11:40 a.m., near the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in Boone County, as reported by Cincinatti.com.

According to Boone County Sheriff’s Department Brittany Holtzman, 22, of Independence was distracted by another crash as she was traveling westbound on Interstate 275 in her Mazda Tribute SUV. Holtzman did not realize the traffic ahead of her was beginning to slow down, as she was looking at the other crash. As she became aware of the traffic slowing down, she made a hard right turn and then left, which caused her SUV to overturn.

The rolling SUV ejected both Holtzman and her passenger Sam Roberts, 25, of Bennington, Indiana from the vehicle. Responding emergency medical services (EMS) teams pronounced Holtzman dead at the scene of the tragic motor vehicle crash (MVC). Roberts was rushed to an area hospital by EMS teams, but unfortunately died while en route to the hospital for treatment. No other vehicles were reportedly involved in the fatal wreck. The Boone County Accident Reconstruction Unit is conducting a full investigation into the deadly single-vehicle crash.
