Texas personal injury lawyers alert-A little girl was killed at school by an open cabinet.

Dallas, TX—A 5-year-old girl was tragically killed in a freak accident at G.L. Wiley Middle School. The little girl was killed after a large cabinet fell on her in the middle school’s gym. The fatal accident happened on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, as reported by the Waco Tribune Herald.

A J.H. Hines Elementary School student, Princanna Strain, was reportedly playing in the middle school gym when she and two to three others students climbed into an open cabinet on wheels. The weight of the children inside the cabinet caused it to tip over on top of Princanna and hit her in the face and head. Other students reported they were chasing a lizard that was trapped in the gym when they climbed into the cabinet. No other students were reportedly injured. Princanna was rushed by emergency medical services (EMS) crews to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.

Tragically, Princanna was pronounced dead by medical professionals shortly after arriving for treatment. The J.H. Hines Elementary School has currently relocated to G.L. Wiley Middle School for the year while a new Hines campus is under construction. The Waco Police Department and the Waco Independent School District are currently investigating the tragic and untimely death.
