Anne Arundel County police alert Maryland motorcycle accident lawyers- A Yamaha motorcycle crash left one person dead.

Annapolis, MD—An Annapolis motorcyclist was killed after a collision with a car on Friday, September 18, 2009. The fatal crash happened around 5:30 p.m., just outside of Annapolis on Rivera Road near Aris T. Allen Boulevard, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.

The Anne Arundel County police stated, a Saturn driven by Michael Joseph McCann, 38, of Catonsville, was making a left turn out of the Bowen Farm Supply onto Riva Road, when traffic had stopped in two southbound lanes. The Saturn then began to turn into the southbound left-turn lane, when the driver of a Yamaha motorcycle, Adam Douglas Ketels, 25, of Annapolis changed lanes into the left-turn lane and sped up. Ketels then slammed into the driver side door of the merging Saturn. An off-duty count volunteer firefighter witnessed the wreck and attempted to help the severely injured biker. Ketel’s was transported by area emergency medical services (EMS) crews to the Anne Arundel Medical Center, and was later airlifted to Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of his injuries. Ketels later died from his serious injuries at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The driver of the Saturn was reportedly unhurt in the crash. Police officials are conducting a full investigation into the fatal motorcycle crash.
