Georgia SUV accident news: SUV slams into house kills 1 injures 4!

Georgia State Patrol alerts Georgia automobile accident attorneys- Man charged with vehicular homicide after slamming into a house with a Lincoln Navigator.

Atlanta, GA—An out-of-control sport utility vehicle (SUV) abruptly ended a birthday celebration inside a Douglas County home when the SUV plowed through the family’s living room. The crash happed on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. in the 6700 block of Berea Road in Douglasville, as reported by WSBTV.

According to Georgia State Patrol (GSP), it is unknown how a Lincoln Navigator driven by William Stuart, 49, of Douglasville exited the roadway and slammed into a family’s living room. A disabled veteran of the Vietnam War identified as George Michael Bryant, 60, of Douglasville, was inside the house and tragically killed in the crash. Police officials believe Bryant attempted to protect his wife from the impact of the SUV crashing into the house. A 9-year-old unidentified girl was also injured in the crash, and was transported by emergency medical services (EMS) crews to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite for treatment. Several other victims identified as Joyce Bryant, 59; Shannon Bryant, 34; and an unidentified 13-year-old were all injured as well. EMS personnel transported the three victims to Atlanta Medical Center where they are expected to make a full recovery. Police officials stated Stewart is expected to be charged with vehicular homicide, and other charges are pending on the completion of the police investigation.
