Sussex, NJ–Northwestern New Jersey plane crash leaves both pilot and passenger injured. New Jersey State Police confirmed a Rockway Township pilot and his Vernon passenger were located in a heavily wooded area in northern New Jersey after their plane crashed shortly after 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday.

The Cessna 150-H piloted by Joseph Murray crashed nose-first about a half-mile from the Sussex Airport shortly after take-off. Both the pilot and passenger, Bill Fischer, were flown via medical helicopter by emergency medical service personnel (EMS) to Morristown Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
