The primary duty of the CPSC, created through the Consumer Product Safety Act, is to protect consumers from harmful products. The recalled mattress sets retailed for about $165 to $300. The sets were available for purchase between July 2007 and February 2009 at various Puerto Rico mattress retailers.
No injuries related to the recalled mattress sets have been reported. Safety regulators urge consumers to stop using the recalled mattress sets.
