Boston – The FBI agent who interrogated a friend of accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was set to give testimony in court this week. As reported by Reuters, Azamat Tazhayakov is the first of three of Tsarnaev’s friends who will face trial after being accused of interfering in the police investigation of the bombing.

Tazhayakov and the others accused allegedly went into the dorm room of the suspect and removed items three days following the attacks, which occurred on April 15 of last year.

As noted by Reuters, FBI special agent John Walker, led a search of the apartment where Tsarnaev was staying days after the attack.

Tazhayakov, Dias Kadyrbayev, and Robel Phillipos have each been charged with obstructing the investigation. If convicted on the obstruction charge and for conspiracy, Tazhayakov may be sentenced to up to 25 years in prison.
