New York – An age discrimination lawsuit filed against law firm Ropes & Gray has been settled. As reported by Reuters, the 2011 lawsuit filed by a former intellectual property partner with the firm, Patricia Martone, was settled prior to a ruling on the law firm’s motion for summary judgment.

Martone, 63, filed the suit alleging she was discriminated against due to her age and gender in being fired in 2010. She was unable to receive retirement benefits that she would have been entitled to in remaining with the firm until she was 65.

The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
