Lavaca County, TX – A grand jury has decided not to indict a man who killed the person he reportedly witnessed abusing his young daughter. As reported by CNN, the father, whose identity has been withheld to protect the identity of his daughter, will not be charged in the killing of Jesus Mora Flores. Flores allegedly sexually abused the man’s 5-year-old daughter at a horse shoeing event last week.

The father reportedly called 911 to report that he had beaten up the man after finding him abusing the child, and requested an ambulance come to assist him.

Lavaca County District Attorney Heather McMinn is quoted by CNN as stating to reporters, “The substantial amount of evidence showed that the witness statements and the father’s statement and what the father had observed was in fact what had happened that day.”
