School Bus Head-On Crash with BMW Injures 5 in Kingston

Kingston, MA — A head-on collision involving a BMW and a school bus injured five people, three of whom were flown to an area hospital, Friday morning, March 30, 2012. The automobile accident occurred just before 7:30 a.m., near the corner of Chipman Way and Lake Street in Kingston, WCVB Boston reported.

Details surrounding the crash and how it occurred have not been reported at this time. But, police stated that it appears that the car crossed the center line.

Responding emergency crews airlifted three people in the BMW, two of whom had life-threatening injuries, to Boston hospitals for medical treatment. The female driver of the BMW was reportedly the only one conscious after the crash.

A fourth teen in the BMW was rushed to South Shore Hospital.

The bus driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Jordan Hospital.

The four occupants of the BMW were juniors at Silver Lake Regional High School.

The identities of the victims are being withheld at this time.

Investigations are underway.
