Woodland, WA — A work-related accident left a Vancouver man dead after he was electrocuted at an industrial site Monday, September 19, 2011. The fatal industrial accident took place at 418 NW Hayes Road in Woodland, reported KGW.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office reported, “The victim or some object touched a nearby power line. The victim was electrocuted inside the high lift.”

The 42-year-old worker was reportedly power-washing a silo at the time of the fatal workplace accident. His identity is being withheld at this time.

There were no witnesses to the accident, so the details surrounding the incident and when it occurred are largely unknown.

The man was found collapsed on the ground, when his boss began to administer CPR until rescue crews arrived at the scene. Responding emergency medical technicians pronounced him dead at the scene.

The victim reportedly was employed by Furrer Construction Inc.
