West Palm Beach, FL — A violent automobile accident in Jupiter killed one man and injured five others, when their vehicle slammed into a disabled vehicle that was being pushed down the road. The accident occurred around 1 a.m., in the eastbound lanes of Indiantown Road near the Interstate 95 off ramp on Monday, February 7, 2011, as reported by the Palm Beach Post.

Jupiter Police reported that twin brothers Brett and Bradley Cooper, 28 and cousin Tyler Wolf, 22, were pushing a 1996 Saturn that ran out of gas on Indiantown Road. There were two women also inside the Saturn at the time.

The driver of a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo, identified as Kelly Mettille, 33, reportedly exited the I-95 exit ramp, when she rear-ended the Saturn, as the three cousins were pushing the vehicle.

Responding emergency crews rushed Wolf and Brett Cooper to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Bradley Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a relative of the men, Wolf had undergone surgery and is listed in stable condition. Brett Cooper is in a drug-induced coma in the intensive care unit.

Mettille and the two women inside the Saturn, Lisa Godfrey, 38, and Kylia Reynolds, 20, were taken to Jupiter Medical Center with minor injuries.

Investigations are underway.
