CPSC Recall: Lollytogs Infant’s Overalls Pose Choking Hazards

New York, NY—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Lollytogs Ltd. have voluntarily recalled about 8,300 infant’s overalls in the U.S. and anther 2,000 overalls in Canada. The CPSC announced the recall on October 19, 2010, over a choking hazard the clothing poses.
The overalls were recalled after discovering the snaps can come loose, posing a choking hazard to young children.
CPSC reported, “This recall involves infants’ Carhartt® overalls with style numbers GG8500 (100% cotton canvas) and GG8501 (100% cotton knit). The overalls were sold in brown or red in infant sizes 3, 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24 months. The Carhartt logo is sewn on the front of the garment and the style numbers can be found on the sewn-in label hanging from the sleeve.”
The recalled overalls were sold at retailers nationwide from February 2010 through July 2010. The apparel sold for about $25.
Consumers are advised to return the clothing to the place of purchase for a full refund or store credit.
