Princeton, NJ—A drunken former “Melrose Place” actress, Amy Locane-Bovenizer, killed a 60-year-old woman when her vehicle slammed into the passenger side of the woman’s vehicle. Locane-Bovenizer, who played Sandy Louise Harling on “Melrose Place,” has since been charged for the Sunday night, June 27, 2010, drunk driving accident, as reported by Fox News.

Authorities reported that Locane-Bovenizer, 39, was driving a 2007 Chevy Tahoe, when she struck the passenger side of a Mercury Milan as the Mercury was turning into a driveway. The collision instantly killed 60-year-old Helene Seeman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Helene’s husband Fred Seeman, who was driving at the time, was airlifted by a Medevac helicopter to an area hospital for treatment of his serious injuries.

Locane-Bovenizer also reportedly rear-ended another vehicle a few miles away before hitting the Seeman’s vehicle. She fled the scene of the first crash. The victim of the hit-and-run followed Locane-Bovenizer, who was allegedly “swerving and knocked down several mailboxes.”

At the scene of the fatal crash, police officials reported that they could smell alcohol on the actress’ breath, her eyes were glassy and red-rimmed and her speech was slurred.

Locane-Bovenizer was subsequently arrested and charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and third-degree assault by auto. The bail has been set at $50,000. If she is convicted, she may face five to 10 years in prison.
