Texas automobile accident lawyers alert- A head-on collision between a Ford F-150 and a car left one person dead.
Fort Worth, TX—A head-on collision in Tarrant County claimed the life of a woman on Monday, February 1, 2010. A pickup truck collided with a car on Farm Road 718 about two miles east of Eagle Mountain Lake in the early morning hours of Monday, as reported by the Star-Telegram.
The Tarrant County sheriff’s office reported Ung Phimmasone, 32, was traveling eastbound in a car when it veered over the centerline and crashed into an oncoming westbound Ford F-250. No occupants, other than the driver, were reportedly inside the car at the time of the accident. Phimmasone was pronounced dead by responding medical professionals at 2:33 a.m. The driver of the truck, Jose Tovar-Ortiz, 46, of Aurora in Wise County was injured in the head-on wreck. Tovar-Ortiz was rushed by emergency medical services (EMS) ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth for treatment of his injuries by doctors and nurses. His injuries were not reported to be life-threatening. Police officials are trying to decipher why the car crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic. A full investigation is currently underway. It is unknown if anyone received any citations from police officers for the two-vehicle crash.
