Federal Aviation Administration alerts Minnesota aviation accident attorneys- A single-engine plane crash injured two occupants.

Minneapolis, MN—A single-engine plane crash injured two people after the plane lost power. The plane crash happened on Saturday, October 3, 2009, around 3:45 p.m., just west of the Jensen Airfield at the University of Minnesota Rosemount Research Center, as reported by the StarTribune.com.

According to police officials, a single-engine plane took off from the Jensen Airfield, when the piloted reported the plane lost power as soon as he left the runway. The pilot attempted to turn around the aircraft and bank it to the left, but instead the plane crashed into a cornfield. The pilot was injured as a result of the crash, but was able to walk away from the wreckage, and communicate with emergency medical services (EMS) personnel. A female passenger was found outside the wreckage of the plane in a semiconscious state. The passenger suffered serious facial and chest wounds, and was airlifted by a helicopter to the Regions Hospital in St. Paul for treatment of her injuries. Both of the victims reportedly did not suffer any life threatening injuries. The pilot was transported by EMS crews to Regions Hospital as well. Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) http://www.ntsb.gov and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) http://www.faa.gov are reportedly conducting a full investigation into the single-engine plane crash.
