California automobile accident attorneys alerts- Two San Francisco Municipal Railway buses crashed a few hours apart.

San Francisco, CA—Two San Francisco Municipal Railway (SF Muni) buses were involved in two crashes, just hours apart from each other on Tuesday, September 22, 2009. One SF Muni bus hit a light pole, two trees, and two parking meters, and a building, just before another bus sideswiped a F-Market streetcar, as reported by The San Francisco Chronicle.

The first of two crashes happened around 11:20 a.m., near Market Street and Grant Avenue. A mirror on an inbound 71 Haight-Noriega bus reportedly hit an outbound F-Market streetcar. The driver of the bus was injured in the collision, and was treated by responding emergency medical services (EMS) crews at the scene of the crash, but was not transported to the hospital. A passenger on the bus was also injured, but refused any medical treatment. Both vehicles reportedly sustained minor damage. SF Muni officials and the San Francisco police are reportedly investigating the wreck.

The second crash happened around 1:30 p.m., in Japantown on Laguna Street between Post and Shutter streets. A SF Muni training coach reportedly struck the building and a light pole, two trees, and two parking meters, and a Japantown building before coming to a stop. It is currently unknown how the wreck occurred. Reportedly, there were no passengers on the training bus when the collision occurred. There also were no reported injuries in connection with the crash. The crash did affect the overhead wire powering the SF Muni trolleys, which disrupted service on the 3-Jackson line. SF Muni officials and the San Francisco police are investigating the wreck.
