Florida motorcycle accident alert-Cape Coral Police Department investigating fatal motorcycle accident on Pine Island Road say traffic deaths hit 7.
Ft. Myers, FL–Cape Coral’s third motorcycle accident death brings the traffic fatality toll to 7 this year after a biker collides with a driver on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. As reported by the News-Press Ft. Myers, a Lee County motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving 59 year-old motorcycle rider Donald Richard Erwin and 62 year-old automobile driver, Virginia Murphy both of Cape Coral killed Erwin on Tuesday.
The fatal motorcycle accident happened on eastbound Pine Island Road when Erwin who was riding his bike and approaching Chiquita Boulevard struck Murphy when she pulled into his path causing the biker to be ejected. Erwin was transported by emergency medical helicopter to Lee Memorial Hospital where he died from his traumatic injuries. Cape Coral Police Department is investigating the motorcycle accident fatality.
