Connecticut personal injury lawyer’s alert- A second sexual abuse victim at the Gunnery School filed a lawsuit.

Torrington, CT—A second alleged sexual abuse victim at the exclusive Connecticut school, The Gunnery School, has filed a lawsuit against the former Dean of Students, Richard Reinhardt. The lawsuit was filed in the Waterbury Superior Court on Thursday, August 20, 2009, as reported by the Mercury News.

According to the lawsuit, Reinhardt allegedly allowed the victim to stay overnight at his residence on the school campus about 13 times from 2006 to 2008, while the victim was a student or recent graduate. The alleged victim stated eight of the times he stayed at Reinhardt’s quarters, he was fondled, performed oral sex, or masturbated. In addition, the student was given hand written notes from Reinhardt to allow him to be late for dorm check-in or for his classes after he left Reinhardt’s residence. Students were reportedly able to visit Reinhardt by climbing through his porch. The lawsuit says the school failed to properly supervise Reinhardt or report the suspicions to police authorities.

This lawsuit comes after another Gunnery student filed a similar lawsuit, which alleges Reinhardt also sexually abused him. As JusticeNewsFlash.com reported another student identified as, John Doe, claims he was assaulted on numerous occasions during his freshman year at The Gunnery School, from September 2007 to June 2008 by the former dean of students, Robert Reinhardt. Doe’s lawsuit also claims the boarding school was aware, or should have been aware of the inappropriate activities surrounding Reinhardt and the alleged victim.
