Visalia, CA—A stolen car fleeing from police ended with the deaths of eight people. The tragic crash happened on Saturday afternoon, August 9, 2009, as reported by Fox News.
According to Dinuba police officials, a hijacked Dodge Neon carrying the suspects fled from police for four miles, before the car ran a stop sign at East Nebraska Avenue, ran through an additional stop sign, and then slammed into a 1997 GMC pickup truck. The truck was carrying seven young family members who were on their way to watch their son, Carlos, play in a football game. Police stated the stolen vehicle fled when police tried to pull the automobile over for a traffic violation. All three passengers inside the Neon reportedly were killed instantly, when the car slammed into the truck.
