3 Miami-Dade doctors arrested-$10 million Medicare fraud scheme!
Federal Detention Center holds 3 Miami doctors for millions in false Medicare claims.
Maimi, FL (JusticeNewsFlash.com)–The Associated Press (AP) released today three Miami-Dade doctors have been charged with filing millions of dollars in false state and federal Medicare claims. The Federal Detention Center in Miami is housing accused physicians Carmen Lourdes del Cueto, Roberto Rodriguez and Carlos Garrido for criminal conspiracy.
The federal grand jury indicted the three doctors after the U.S. State’s Attorneys Office presented a federal conspiracy case alleging the doctors submitted $10 million in medical bills for HIV drug infusion treatments the patients didn’t need or receive. The physicians were also charged for laundering $5 million dollars worth of payments made by the federal health insurance program over four years. On Monday it was undetermined if any of the three doctors had retained criminal lawyers to defend the charges against them.
