Raleigh, NC (JusticeNewsFlash.com)–An Amtrak train carrying passengers from Raleigh, North Carolina crashed into a tractor-trailer at a Harrisburg railroad crossing Wednesday morning reported Fox News. According to Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office officials, the big rig was carrying construction materials and was apparently on the tracks unoccupied at the time of the crash.

The train was carrying 10 passengers and was scheduled to arrive at the Charlotte, North Carolina station at 10:14 a.m. The driver was not in the truck at the time of the train collision and sheriff’s deputies were uncertain if the truck was moving or parked on the tracks just before the crash. The truck spilled diesel fuel and construction materials onto the roadway.
The passengers were reportedly not injured and Amtrak vans were transporting them to Charlotte.
