Lawsuit Filed Against Driver - Dottie Rambo Crash
A lawsuit has been filed in connection to the car crash that killed gospel star Joyce “Dottie” Rambo
The bus driver and company connected to the crash that killed gospel singer and songwriter Joyce “Dottie” Rambo have been sued by the entertainer’s daughter. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), a lawsuit filed on behalf of Reba Rambo-McGuire in a Nashville court on Thursday requests compensatory damages of over $25,000, with the specified amount to be determined by a jury in a requested trial.
As noted in the AP report, bus driver James Meadows and DC Investments Leasing, who supplied transportation for the late singer Rambo, are among those named in the suit. The 74 year-old singer died May 11, 2008 in a bus crash while traveling to Texas for a performance for Mother’s Day. Seven others reportedly sustained injuries from the accident.
The lawsuit claims negligence on the part of the bus driver and regards the company the worked for as liable his actions.
