Indianapolis – Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay was arrested and charged with DUI and multiple felony counts of possession on Sunday. As reported by Yahoo! Sports, police say Irsay was seen stopping mid-road and failed to use a signal when pulling over.

According to a police statement Irsay failed a series of field sobriety tests. In addition, police stated, “Multiple prescription drugs were discovered in pill bottles… These Schedule IV prescription drugs were not associated with any prescription bottles found in the vehicle.”

The Indianapolis Colts are quoted as releasing the statement regarding the arrest, “We are gathering information at this time regarding last night’s incident involving Jim Irsay… The team will issue additional statements when the facts are sorted and we are aware of the next steps to this process. Many fans have reached out to express their concern and we appreciate their support.”

As noted in by Yahoo! Sports, Irsay claimed in a post on Twitter last year that he had been sober for 15 years.
