New York – A controversial video depicting an altercation between bikers and a man in a Range Rover has garnered millions of views online. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the wife of a biker shown in the video being struck by the Range Rover says he was the victim in the incident, purporting that some are; however, viewing the bikers as villains.

Edwin Mieses Jr., the biker, suffered spine injuries and broken bones according to his wife, Dayana Mieses. She is quoted by the AP as stating of her husband, “When all the bikers stopped, my husband got out, parked his bike to walk over to try to help his friend…He walked over towards the front of the vehicle when, at this point, I don’t know what happened: the man was scared, the man just peeled off and ran over my husband.”

She further stated of her husband’s condition, “There’s no hope for his back…they crushed his spine. They broke it in two different places, so he will be forever, forever paralyzed.”

Mieses says the bikers, who are depicted in the video to have swarmed the SUV prior to the driver running over her husband, have been painted as villains after being shown chasing the driver leading up to some of them smashing the windows of the Range Rover. According to police, the driver was then pulled from the video and attacked by some of the motorcyclists.

The incident is still under investigation.
