Kentucky – A gossip blogger is contesting allegations made by a former cheerleader in a defamation lawsuit over online posts she alleges hurt her reputation. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Hooman Karamian, also known as Nik Richie, testified Wednesday that he could feature posts about former Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader and teacher, Sarah Jones, who pleaded guilty to engaging in sex acts with her 17-year-old former student, on his website because she was a public figure.
Jones is quoted as stating of the posts, “As a teacher with those things on the Internet, that I slept with all the Bengals and had two STDs, I didn’t want to face my students.”
Richie is quoted in the report as stating, “My position is freedom of speech, and people are entitled to their own opinion… This is America.”
