Baxter County airplane crash injures 2 and leaves 3 dead.

Mountain Home, AR(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–Three visiting St. Louis area residents lost their lives when the small plane they were flying in crashed at Gaston’s Resort near Lakeview, Arkansas, on Friday as reported by KTVI, a Fox affiliate. The small civilian aircraft, a Piper Cherokee Lance, was reportedly scheduled to fly to St. Louis from Gaston’s Resort when the plane crashed during takeoff. The Baxter County Sheriff’s Department identified the victims as Warren Langford and his son Brendan, both from Chesterfield; Jacob Ritz, 15, of Bridgetown; Donald Beckerle, 43, of Eureka; and Joshua Beckerle, of Eureka. Brendan and Jacob were reportedly St. Louis University High School students.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Department, Warren and Brendan were both killed on impact when the plane crashed. Ritz was transported by Baxter County emergency medical services (EMS) crews to a Baxter County area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The two other victims, Donald and Joshua Beckerle were flown by helicopter to St. John’s Medical Center in Springfield Missouri for treatment of their critical injuries. Lakeview area detectives are still investigating the cause of the fatal plane crash.
