California – A man was killed in a car crash that ejected him from his vehicle and thrust him onto a freeway sign in California. Inside Edition reported that the 20-year-old man, whose identity was not disclosed in the report, was traveling southbound on the 5 Freeway when he became involved in a collision with another vehicle.

The accident occurred around 7 a.m. in the Griffith Park area, according to California Highway Patrol spokesman Officer Chad Guin.

The man’s vehicle, a Ford, was stated to have been traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver was ejected as it rolled over multiple times. The man landed on the sign for Exit 142, Colorado Street.

No one else was reportedly injured in the accident.

Guin is quoted as stating to Inside Edition of the accident “We have never seen anything like this, where a party was ejected and come to rest on a street sign.”
