Dallas – A Texas teenager has been charged in connection with a fatal accident that caused the deaths of four women. KWTX reported that police charged Jose Lule, 19, with four counts of accident involving death after a hit-and-run crash in Dallas.

The women were reportedly traveling in a vehicle that was struck by a pickup truck as it was entering an intersection on Saturday. The car was pushed into a utility pole as a result of the force of the impact. All four of the women were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was arrested after initially fleeing the scene. He was found a short distance from the crash site.

Authorities have said that alcohol did not immediately appear to be a factor in the crash.

Bond for Lule was set at $40,000.
