Germany – A 65-year-old woman in Germany has made international headlines over her later in life pregnancy with quadruplets. According to an Us Weekly report, the woman, Annegret Raunigk, who is an elementary school teacher from Berlin, is already mother to 13 kids whose ages range from 9 to 44. Reports say Raunigk attempted to become pregnant via artificial insemination in recent years and achieved her goal earlier in the year. She is quoted as stating in an interview with Bild newspaper, “After the doctor discovered there were four, I had to give it some thought to begin with…Certainly that was a shock for me.” The expectant mother has given past interviews about her decision to have children at later stages in life. In 2005, she made headlines after giving birth to her 13th child at 55 years old. She at the time stated that children help keep her “young.” Raunigk further stated during the recent interview, “I'm not actually afraid…I simply assume I'll remain healthy and fit. In matters of organization I have enough experience, that's not new for me.” Justice News Flash delivers the latest in World Legal News.
