New York – John Legend and Chrissy Teigen recently hired food trucks to help feed protestors in New York City. As reported by The Washington Times, the singer and model organized the food trucks through the Operation Help or Hush activist group at Union Square.

The demonstrators were protesting the decisions of grand juries to not indict police officers involved in the deaths of Eric Garner in New York and teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Both were unarmed African American males killed by white police officers.

Several protests have been organized throughout the U.S. in response to the controversial decisions.

According to the report, the NYC protestors were served by three popular food trucks featuring items such as mac & cheese and Korean barbecue.
