Des Moines – A man arrested in an alleged domestic violence incident reportedly broke his wife’s nose with a McChicken sandwich. As reported by The Des Moines Register, a spokesman for the Des Moines Police department said that charges filed against the man, 21-year-old Marvin Tramaine Hill II, would likely be changed to simple domestic assault causing bodily injury.

Hill was charged with simple domestic assault initially after admitting to police that he threw the sandwich “because he doesn’t like them.” He also alleged that his wife had assaulted him.

Sgt. Jason Halifax is quoted as stating of the case, “It doesn’t matter what instrument is used to commit the assault … Domestic abuse is a huge problem. The greater issue is this guy is getting angry over a sandwich.”

Hill and his wife share a two-year-old daughter and have another child on the way.
