Los Angeles – Eccentric singer Lady Gaga recently revealed in an interview that she was raped at the age of 19. As reported by WebProNews, during the interview with Howard Stern, Gaga stated that a previous performance in which an artist vomited paint on her was symbolic of her feelings about her experience.

The singer also said she had written a song about rape and sexual abuse.

Gaga is quoted as stating to Stern, “I wrote a song called ‘Swine,’ the song is about rape, the song is about demoralization… The song is about rage and fury and passion, and I had a lot of pain that I wanted to release.”

When asked about her ordeal in further detail, Gaga stated, “I don’t want to be defined by it. I’ll be damned if somebody’s gonna say that every creatively intelligent thing that I ever did is all boiled down to one d—head that did that to me… I’m gonna take responsibility for all my pain looking beautiful and all the things I’ve made out of my strife. I did that.”
